The University of North Carolina at Asheville is the only designated liberal arts institution in the University of North Carolina system. UNC Asheville has an enrollment of more than 3,700 students in 30 undergraduate majors as well as a Master of Liberal Arts and Science program. The campus is situated on 300 picturesque acres just one mile north of downtown Asheville.
The Bulldogs are members of the Big South Conference for 15 of their 16 sports. Women’s Swimming competes in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association, comprised of schools in multiple conferences, including the Big South.
The Big South Conference features 10 universities across North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The conference is headquartered in Charlotte, NC.
